Export pipelines to be inspected
According to the NISOC public relations, this project will be complemented within Ahvaz, Aghajari, Maroun and Gachsaran with a value worth more than$ 4.1 million.
With a 15- month period of time and by means of ECDA, pipelines are to be technically inspected and their defects will be detected.
Within National Iranian South Oil Company there are both surface and buried pipelines with miscellaneous diameters.
Since pipelines pass through different geographical areas, corrosion occurs among them and leads to interval in process of production.
Other than economical aspects, environmental pollution is another problem of pipeline corrosion.
Producing about 3,200,000 barrels per day, NISOC sends more than 1,800,000 barrels of crude to the Khark oil export terminal to be exported abroad.
