Major pipeline maps to be updated: NISOC
Head of surveying engineering at NISOC said:”according to this project, major maps of surface & buried pipelines within Masjed Soleyman, Karoun , Maroun ,Aghajari and Masjed Soleyman as well as some sections of pumping stations will be updated according to the latest received data and some facilities will replace them.”
Saying that executive operations have kicked off, Beygi Nejad continued:” after 40 years, in an area extending to 8 million hectares, maps of pipelines (with 7,000kilometers long) will be renewed.
“Simultaneously, other descriptive and applied data such as length & diameter of pipes, type of liquid and setting of starting and ending points will be specified and archived in GIS( geographic information system).”, he concluded.
